As part of our ongoing collaboration with the MIT Media Lab, David Chatting was a visiting fellow for four months in 2005.
David mainly worked with Prof. Judith Donath of the Sociable Media Group looking at enhancing the video conferencing experience, the Presence and Portrayal project. The article BT faces facts describes this collaboration.
David is currently looking at the emotional response of viewers to sports content in the Affective Football Analysis project working with Prof. Rosalind Picard. This extends Li-Qun Xu's previous work on automatic summarisation of football matches and measures physiological responses of viewers using MIT's handwave bluetooth GSR sensor.
