Joshan Meenowa
Researcher, Multimedia Technologies
Joshan Meenowa's research focuses primarily in two areas:
- Investigating the challenges in strengthening intrafamilial bonds through broadband technology (the TA2 European Commission FP7 project) within the Future Content Group, and
- Gaining an understanding of the way humans perceive high definition video within the Perceptual Engineering Group.
Holder of an MEng in Electrical Engineering and Information Science from the University of Cambridge, Joshan has also conducted research at BT in the fields of
ShapeShifting non-linear audiovisual media description, creation and delivery (work which has yielded protected intellectual property for BT);
visio-haptic communications; and
tactile interfaces for information rendering. His other research interests include
inclusive design, specially as regards to
enabling network technologies for the blind.
