Devices Research - Chief Researcher

Jason has been at BT Research for over twelve years. He currently works in the Devices Research Group as a Chief Research Professional where he has been looking at Broadband Games Consoles. In particular, he has been working closely with the platform holders to co-develop leading edge technologies to improve BT customer experiences (both UK and global) and provide improved access to broadband and services from these devices over fixed and mobile networks. In addition, Jason has been responsible for providing consultancy into BT on areas like Placeshifting (moving content out of the home and onto other devices over broadband and Wi-Fi) using devices like Sony LocationFree and Sling Media's Slingbox.

Bridging the commercial and technical divide, he manages a small team consisting of internal researchers and engineers along with managing external contracts with developers and potential partners.
