In the last few years, the widespread take-up of broadband Internet access, coupled with a massive reduction in the price and availability of digital devices, has fuelled a revolution in digital content.
In this new world a huge number of ordinary people can create, edit, remix, copy and distribute content to a worldwide audience with relative ease; previously the exclusive domain of an international broadcaster.
For BT, the new world of digital content is providing multiple opportunities to differentiate its future products in a maturing broadband marketplace. The Future Content group exists to supply BT with the product ideas, technology and foresight which it needs to help its customers take full advantage of the world of digital content.
