Why can't the provision of Internet based information be as pervasive and as easy to read as a clock? Why aren't there applications and services that provide at-a-glance information in the periphery of our senses without interrupting or distracting us?
The Personal Information Display provides a glanceable overview of personalised information, while offering the capability for more detailed enquiry.
New alerts are announced with display colour change and customisable ambient alert ‘ring-tones’. Ambient alerts are configured and personalised using an Ambient Service Internet Portal via a PC.
